What A Season!!!

Wow, what a season, and it ain’t over yet!! I wanted to make a few notes here on the blog so I wouldn’t forget. Stu is constantly poking fun at all the crazy nicknames I give our players and this year’s roster is one of the best:

#1—Terrance Williams, everyone knows this one, T-Will
#2—Preston Knowles, Peanut
#5—Earl Clark, everyone else might call him E5, but I find my self saying, “Dang it Earl!”
#10—Edgar Sosa, Sammy Sosa
#21—Jerad Swopshire, Swoppy
#23—Terrance Jennings, TJ
#24—Samardo Samuels, Sammy
#33—Andre McGee, Carlton (from Fresh Prince of Bel Air)
#34—Jerry Smith, no nickname here either, but like with Earl I said this a lot, “Way to go Jerry, don’t foul…don’t foul…please don’t foul!” You know what I mean it seemed after every big shot he’d immediately commit a reach in foul 50 feet from the basket!

I love my Cardinals and couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments. I never thought when I was there on New Year’s Eve for the UNLV loss that things would turn out this way, but some how they’ve learned to play together and it has paid dividends.
